In the 1920’s the buildings served as a large mill. In the 1980’s TVA purchased the buildings and converted them into office space. In 2008
Dominion Development Group purchased Cherokee Place on Sutherland Avenue, and is transforming the property into a true Class A office destination.
Smee + Busby Architects designed the renovations and upgrades for the building shell, atriums, mezzanine and common spaces. We have also designed virtually every tenant space in the buildings to date. Now, a new history is being written for this storied property, one with a truly unique campus style working atmosphere that will redefine the way businesses are able to interact and continue to transform the center of our City.
